A subsidiary of PG Industries Zimbabwe, we are the leading manufacturer and distributor of quality concrete roof tiles, ridges, bricks and pavers.

Currently, the company operates two factories in Harare and Bulawayo. As part of the company’s growth and expansion strategy, a milestone was achieved on the 1st of October 2010 with the company commissioning of the $1million Bulawayo plant extruder.  The upgrade of the Bulawayo tile plant extruder was Zimtile’s quest to continue and maintain dominance in the roof tile industry.  The Bulawayo plant now has a capacity of producing 26,000 tiles day.  The PH45HD has automatic aggregate feeding systems with electronic weighing of materials.

In December 2011, another milestone was achieved with the commissioning of a new state-of-the-art P70HD tile-making technology at its Harare plant.  The Harare plant has a capacity of producing 40,000 tiles per day.  The new plant cost US$2,5 million and has been designed for a fully automatic plant including automatic racker and dry tile packing system.

Our History

1957 -Zimtile  have operated in Zimbabwe since 1957, under Marley (SA).1992 -Marley disinvested when the company was subject to a management buy out, and Zimtile was born.1993 -Zimtile purchased a new tile plant from Marley for its Harare operation, capable of producing 25000 tiles a day. The profiles produced were the major and the mendip. The plant was de-commissioned in 2011.1995 -Zimtile bought a second hand tile plant, a P20T, from Roofrite (Mutare) and transferred it to Bulawayo. It had a production capacity of 11000 tiles a day and has since been upgraded to a P45HD with a capacity of 25000 tiles per day.1997 -In response to shortages of clay bricks, a Birkenmayer brick plant was purchased and commissioned, with production capacity of 45 000 bricks or 35 000 pavers day.2003 -PG Industries Zimbabwe acquired 70% of the company which was and still is listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange.Read more >>
