SCIENCE AND ADVANCED GLOBAL INNOVATION TECHNOLOGIES (SAGIT) is an integrated national-technology initiative focused on bridging academia and industry to drive innovation through sustainable initiatives. The path breaking initiative equally focuses on advancing ICTs (in the context of innovation, science and technology) in the country’s non serviced areas to bridge the digital divide and boost utilisation of ICTs aimed at fostering collaboration across all economic sectors.
The innovation initiative, as one of its key results, will see the development of a credible annual Atlas Innovation Index (AII). This is a database of detailed matrices used to evaluate economic development progress and monitor key innovation factors on a yearly basis.
