BDO Zimbabwe was founded in 1981 by Mr. Ngoni Kudenga who holds the record as the first black Chartered Accountant in Zimbabwe. The firm was then known as Kudenga & Co Chartered Accountants. With a view to gaining international expertise and establish an international presence whilst retaining local autonomy and founding values, Kudenga & Co joined the BDO network in 1996 and became known as BDO Kudenga & Co. In 2010 BDO firms worldwide adopted a single name and thus BDO Kudenga & Co became known as BDO Zimbabwe.
