If you like taking a walk around the block, Musangano presents a unique and exciting opportunity through nature trails in tranquil nature. There are 4 trails and one of them leads you to the trig beacon giving a 360 degrees view of the area. The views include the villages around and farms.

 4. Complimentary Activities

The facility has a jungle gym for kids and a swimming pool for both kids and adults. These activities are available for resident guests. Non-resident guests are allowed to use these facilities if they are having meals and drinks in the restaurant.

 5. Day Tours

Musangano has a special program where they arrange day tours especially for international tourists to visit and meet the local communities. The tours cover farms, schools and hospital visits. They have arrangements with tobacco farms and local wineries where the tourists have a feel of how tobacco is grown up to the auction stages. The same for the wineries, where they also do wine tasting.

The most interesting day tour arranged by the Lodge, is the visit to a Vumba rural smallholding farm which does permaculture farming. This is a must do tour because you will learn about Permaculture and have a meal prepared from the organic vegetables grown in the Permaculture garden.

It started as a half day tour, but now because of the diversity of what the owner of this smallholding is doing on this rural piece of land, even a full day is not enough anymore. He does environmental conservation programs that involve tree planting, grafting of fruit trees, including intercropping plants without using any insecticides or pesticides and yet he grows nutritious organic food crops. The trip provides lunch mostly vegetarian from the crops grown in the garden. When you visit Musangano book yourself on this day tour and visit this place fondly known as the Oasis Gardens.

 5. Camping Facilities.

Musangano has one of the best camping facilities with ablution facilities that are kept clean and has hot and cold shower. So if you have a four man tent, caravan or a 4x4 with a tent on top, you are at home at this camping facility. The charges are reasonable at US$10.00 per person.

 6. Conferencing Facilities.

Musangano conference facility is covid19 compliant and is constructed as a thatched gazebo providing a lot of fresh air which is a requirement for covid19 protocols. The facility used to cater for up to 80 delegates, now it’s down to 40 due to the restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

 7. PaMuchakata Restaurant

This review would not be complete without talking about food. If you love good food like me, Musangano never disappoint. The Pamuchakata restaurant has gained a reputation for serving sumptuous meals, which are a fusion of central European and southern African cooking, the best of the culinary arts of the two worlds
